Lu Rosalie Haddeman 71 of Largo, Florida, and formerly of Waterloo, died June 17, 2012 in Brooksville, Florida, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

She was born July 10, 1940, in Lake Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Amy Shelwick. She was employed at Dyball Acoustical INC. for 18 years until her retirement.

Survivors include three sons: Kevin (Char) Grider of Plymouth Wisconsin, Tony Grider of Waterloo and Mickey (Linsey) Haddeman of Hudson; a daughter Cherie (Jim) Osmundson of Albert Lea, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren: Derrick, Amy, Tristin, Brittany, Adriene, Tyler, Jordan, Devin, Carter, Dillon, Evan, and Bryson; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Lillien, and one due in October; three sisters: Stella Severson of Omaha, Nebraska, Shirley (Geoff) Windisch of Clearwater, Florida, and Carol Willert of Waterloo; a sister-in-law Darlene Johnson of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and a special friend George Talcott of Clearwater Florida.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: LeRoy Shelwick, Sonny Johnson, Pete Shelwick; a sister Sophie Stevens, and a nephew David Bomba.

Memorial Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday July 14 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Lu died doing what she loved riding on the back of Georges BMW and living life to the fullest.
