Phyllis Kay Jasper, age 61, of Houston, Texas, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at her home.

She was born on August 23, 1945, in Waterloo, the daughter of Joseph L. and Mary K. O'Connell Shirley.

She married John Jasper in Waterloo, and they later were divorced. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1963 and also graduated from Upper Iowa University, with a business and accounting degree. She currently was an accountant with Network Interstate Marketing. Previously she worked at Albee Printing for several years, ASI Computer Systems for 10 years, and Stotts & Co.

Survivors include three sons: Marc (Victoria) Jasper, and Scott Jasper both of Waterloo, Jon (Lisa) Jasper of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Kolin, Makayla, and Alexandra Jasper; one brother, Joseph (Melissa) Shirley, of Houston, Texas; and a sister, Anna M. Hall of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Friday.
