CEDAR FALLS - Veda May O'Neil, 95, of the NewAldaya Lifescapes, in Cedar Falls, died there Saturday, August 25, 2012.

She was born March 3, 1917, in Happy, Texas, the daughter of Perry and Pearl (Savage) Still. She married Floyd A. O'Neil November 15, 1942, in Kansas City, MO. He died January 21, 1996.

Mrs. O'Neil was a homemaker her adult life and a member of the North Cedar Garden Club.

Survived by her son, Wayne (Janet) O'Neil of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Kathryn (Josh) Griffith, Susan (Sean) Rund and Rebecca (Andrew) Esqueda; and ten great grandchildren, Haley Esqueda, Dillon O'Neil, Mitchell Rund, John Frazier Jr., Andrew Esqueda Jr., Caleb Frazier, Sylvia Rund, Raine Griffith, James Esqueda, and Emerson Griffith.

Preceded by two brothers, Dale and Henry Still and one sisters, Opal Corsbie.

Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church or Keepsake Quilters-Quilts to Share, 4803 Cedar Heights Dr., Cedar Falls, IA 50613.
