WATERLOO, IOWA — Ruth E. Lazemby, 87, of Waterloo, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.

She was born March 7, 1925, in Waterloo, daughter of Walter and Mary Finch Lazemby. She was an active volunteer and former treasurer of the Dewar Community Hall.

She is survived by a sister, Marjorie Kleinendorst of Cedar Falls; a sister-in-law, Nettie Lazemby of Waterloo; and four nieces and nephews, Steven (Deb) Kleinendorst of Buffalo, Alan (Denise) Kleinendorst and Monica (Steve) Regenold, both of Waterloo, and Bonnie (David) Aschoff of Ankeny.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George Lazemby.

Services will be Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
