WATERLOO, IOWA — Linnie B. Porter, 90, of Waterloo, died at her granddaughter’s home in Charlotte, N.C.

She was born March 19, 1922, in Jackson, Miss., daughter of Henry and Anna Jefferson Taylor.

Ms. Porter had worked for Venda Foods at John Deere and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church

Survived by a son, Cass Jr. of Waterloo; a daughter, Anna Nichols of California; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlean Jackson of Jackson, Miss.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Maryann Mangum; a son, Lonnie; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.
