WATERLOO --- Eldon James Morgan, 85, formerly from Waterloo until 1993 when he moved to San Benito, Texas, and eventually San Antonio to live with his daughter, died July 2, 2012, at the home of his daughter were he had been on hospice.

He was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Waterloo, the son of Frederick Leo and Ethel Floyd Morgan. He married Valeeta M. House April 4, 1948, in Waterloo. She passed away Jan. 11, 2011. Mr. Morgan served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46. He worked at John Deere, H&H Tool & Die Shop, E&M Tool & Die and Viking Pump where he retired in 1988.

Survived by one daughter, Kathryn (Dennis) Trimble of San Antonio; three granddaughters, Carrie Ann Blackburn of DesMoines, Ashley Trimble of Belton, Texas, and Samantha Trimble of San Antonio; one brother, Wayne Morgan of Grand Rapids, Minn.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by his wife, Valeeta House in 2011; two sons, Thomas J. in 1956 and Ronald Lee in 1993; brothers Gale and Richard; along with his parents, half brother Claude Morgan, and two half sisters, Elnora Morgan and Mildred Bixby.

Mr. Morgan will be cremated in San Antonio and a private memorial service will be held for his immediate family in San Antonio.
