CEDAR FALLS — Bruce O. Youngberg, 76, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, July 6, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

He was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Waterloo, son of Orvie and Naomi Johnston Youngberg. He married Loretta Bjorklund July 18, 1959, in Killeen, Texas.

He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1953, and from Waterloo Barber College. Mr. Youngberg served in the U.S. Army and worked in the engineering department at Viking Pump, retiring in 2000.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Angela (David) Konieczny of Cedar Falls; and four grandchildren, Caleb, Noelle, Daniel and Hannah.

Preceded in death by a brother, Byron A.; and a sister, Helen Youngberg.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Bible Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Full military honors will be provided by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Bruce was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his grandchildren who loved him so very much. His kind and thoughtful ways will be greatly missed.
