WATERLOO, IOWA — Michael V. Jensen, 62, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center from Metastatic lung cancer.

He was born February 23, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Vernon and Betty J. Christensen Jensen.

He attended Waterloo West High School and Hawkeye Tech. Mr. Jensen worked at Waterloo Valve Spring, then with a janitorial service, partnered with his father setting up mobile homes, and did mobile home repair work.

Survived by guardian, Dorothy (Richard) Monk Grosse and Suzy Grosse Thorne, all of Cedar Falls; an aunt, Carol Jensen; an uncle, Murray Gallaher of Waterloo; and many cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Mitchell.

There will be no services per his wishes. His body was cremated.

He was an artist and did excellent woodcarving and design, lawn ornaments were his specialty. He had a “Green Thumb” that was enviable! He grew eatable cucumbers during the winter in his kitchen bay window, often cucumbers four inches long.
