WATERLOO — Dorothy Mueller, 82, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes.

She was born August 8, 1929, in Oelwein, daughter of Emil and Nancy Dudley Neuman. She married Robert Mueller April 8, 1949, in Dubuque. He died October 5, 2003.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1948, and received an executive accounting degree from Gates Business College. Mrs. Mueller was a hostess at Sunnyside Country Club for six years, retiring in 1975, and waitressed at Colony Club, Log Cabin Inn and Purple Parrott. She was a member of Central Christian Church.

Survived by two sons, Robert (Jan) of Mulino, Oregon, and Dick of Urbandale; a daughter, Mary (Jim) Buhlman of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Neuman and Jim (Patricia) Neuman, all Waterloo; a sister, Mary Van Nevel of Jesup; a stepbrother, Ed (Gloria) Lenius of Mason City; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Graham of Trinity Center, Calif.

Preceded in death by a brother, Joe Neuman.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Aug. 18, at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), with inurnment at a later date in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 17 at Locke Funeral Home.
