WATERLOO, Iowa --- Carole M. Sparks, 63, of Copperas Cove, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, May 27, 2012.

She was born June 20, 1948, in Waterloo, daughter of Vernon Joseph and Geraldine Conerd McCraney. She married Virgil D. Sparks on Dec. 15, 1976.

Mrs. Sparks was a homemaker and a member of Kempner United Methodist Church.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Jennifer Dee Sparks (Billy) and Brandy Sparks Westberry; a son, Nathan Davis Sparks; an adopted daughter, Stephanie Reeves; four grandchildren, Anastasia, Kolin, Noah and Kylie; three sisters: Jo Antrim (Ross) Barbara Sero (Bob) and Angie Wilson; and six brothers, Patrick, Michael, Randy, Tony (Renee), Roger and Johnny McCraney.

Preceded in death by her parents

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sneed Funeral Chapel, Lampasas, Texas, where visitation be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Kempner Cemetery, Kempner.
