WATERLOO — Will Frenchie Campbell, 86, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born March 26, 1926, in Marianna, Ark., son of John and Susie Barton Campbell. He married Mulinda Walker Campbell in Marianna, Ark. She preceded him in death.

He was employed with Waterloo Concrete Co., and Illinois Central Railroad Company until his retirement.

Survived by two sons, Rev. Willie D. (Tammie) and John L. (Janet), all of Waterloo; five daughters: Rosemary Bradford, Christine, Earline Micou, Shirley (Robert) Bruce, and Linda (Leon), all of Waterloo; 41 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Velma Ford of Chicago.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Lewis; three sisters: Mary and Catherine Campbell, and Thelma Webb; two sons, Frenchie Lee and Jessie James; a daughter, Gertrude McKissick; two grandsons, Artwon Bradford and Justin Campbell; and a great-grandson, DeCarlos Henderson.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 1674 Woodmayr Drive, Waterloo, where they will be receiving family and friends.
