WATERLOO — Carol Sue Macon Cooley, 64, of Stow, Ohio, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Kent Health Care Facility, Kent, Ohio.

She was born May 6, 1948, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Roger and Helen Macon.

She graduated from NU High School and had worked for the Black Hawk County Care Facility for more than 20 years.

Survived by two sons, Randy Shepard of San Diego and William Shepard of Stow; four grandchildren, Kain, Madison and Lindsey Shepard and Chelsea Stoner Santos; a brother, Bob Macon of Waterloo; and a sister, Bonnie Cousins of Waterloo.

Services: 2 p.m. Sunday at Garden of Memories Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Memorials may be directed to the local hospice caregivers, in lieu of flowers.

Carol was a loving friend, mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, sew, play bingo and watch her favorite soap operas on TV. She will be missed by all who knew her.
