WATERLOO, IOWA - Dorothy F. Stokes, 86, of Bettendorf, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Genesis East Hospital, Davenport.

She was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Lynnville, daughter of Doris White Decker. She married B.D. Stokes on April 24, 1946, in Nashua, and they later divorced. She worked at McNelly's Photography Studio.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Kenneth (Sandra) of Columbia, Mo.; two daughters, Vicki Brown of Waterloo and Julie (Joel) Comstock of Sergeant Bluff; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Earl E. Decker.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace parish, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.
