WATERLOO — Norman D. Anderson, 94, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1918, in New Buffalo, Mich., son of Zachariah and Elsie Spink Anderson. He married Helen E. Stewart. She died Jan. 11, 2010.

He graduated from New Buffalo High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Anderson was a farmer and also was employed at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo, for 27 years.

Survived by two sons, Duane (Fran) of Kenosha, Wis., and Bruce (Jan) of Marion; two daughters, Joan (Jack) Bond of Waterloo and Marilyn "Marti" (Paul) Bargman of Dike; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Vida Ebener.

Preceded in death by a sister, Doris Hoffman; and a great-granddaughter.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, with a 6 p.m. service of remembrance, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
