WATERLOO - Dorothy A. Nabholz, 92, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Lavern Rock, Minn., daughter of Frank and Adalia Jones Petersen. She married Joe Nabholz on Feb. 1, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. He died March 6, 1981.

Mrs. Nabholz was employed as a waitress at various restaurants for many years.

Survived by two sons, Tim (Donna) of Waterloo and Jerri of Johnston; two daughters, Jolene (Peter) Benson of Wasilla, Alaska, and Kim Leff of Fairbanks, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Hilda Ihlan of Lavern, Minn.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Martin; an infant daughter, Tamara Joy; and 12 brothers and sisters, including her twin brother Donald.

Family-directed memorial service: will be held at a later date, with inurnment in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
