Louise B. Dow, beloved wife of the late George V. Dow, loving mother of Roger (Bonnie) Dow, Ann (Jim Lawler) Akeson and Paul (Sheila) Dow, grandmother of Rachel Akeson, Laura Chapman, Steve Dow, Greg Dow, Kate Ankeny, Bob and Heidi Dow, great-grandmother of six, daughter of the late Ezra and Jenny Brown.

Louise lived for 65 years in Cedar Falls, raising her family and being an active community member. Louise was a member of First Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, where she worked for nearly 30 years as the financial secretary.

She was an avid reader and also was treasurer for the Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library. In 2005 she moved to Cincinnati to be close to her daughter. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at First Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be given to Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library.
