WATERLOO, IOWA - Robert Beltran Cole Jr., 61, of Waterloo, died Friday, June 22, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of natural causes.

He was born December 23, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Robert Cole Sr. and Theresa Beltran. He married Cynthia Blakley in Cedar Rapids, and they later were divorced. He then married Wanda Harris, and they later were divorced. Mr. Cole served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his mother, Theresa Smith of Waterloo; a son, Corey of Sacramento, Calif.; four daughters, Natalie Cole, Iopia Cole, Nitch Cole and Mika Cole, all of Sacramento; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Jehri Cole of Illinois; three brothers, Leon Beltran, Terry Joe Beltran and Doss Beltran, all of Waterloo; and extended family, Leon and Annie Coleman family of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Billie Beltran; and a daughter, Dottie Cole.

Services will be Friday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, preceded by two hours of visitation, with full military rites by American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623. Sanders Funeral Service is assisting the family.
