CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Vera B. Jacobson, 83, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday, June 26, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

She was born March 19, 1929, in Crystal Lake, daughter of Arthur and Mildred Swan Lonning. She married Glen R. Jacobson on February 22, 1949, in Crystal Lake. He died November 20, 1998.

Mrs. Jacobson graduated from Crystal Lake High School where she played high school basketball, and had been employed in Laundry at Mercy Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Tom) Love of Jacksonville, Fla., and Donna (Mike) Lucas of Cedar Falls; a son, Charles of Webster City; three grandchildren, Nikki Love, Kim (Tucker) Anderson and Travis Love; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Ellie and Lexie; and an aunt, Eva Kuchenreuther of Buffalo Center.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gale Lonning; and a sister, Jean Crone.

Services will be on Friday at the Western Home Communities Chapel, Cedar Falls, with burial in Madison Cemetery, Forest City. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Service and for an hour before services Friday at the Western Home chapel.
