TILLE, SCHMEIDEL, VOGELER, BOVY, HARE, SPRATTE

WATERLOO — Arthur “Art” W. Tille, 103, of Westview Estate, Reinbeck, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1908, in Keystone, son of Henry and Lizze Schmeidel Tille. He married Roberta Vogeler on Jan. 16, 1932, in Dysart.

Mr. Tille farmed in the Keystone and Dysart area for many years and also drove his grain truck in the Waterloo area.

Survived by two daughters, Mardeen (Ray) Bovy of Waterloo and Charlene Hare of Warrenville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Kimberly Dietzel, Kelli (Dick) Rose, Larae (Randy) Steimel, Catherine (Dave) Henke, Marilyn (Trish Kinley) Wester, John (Barbara) Bovy, Albert (Denise) Bovy, Roberta (Mike) McCarthy, Karen (Steve) DeSerano and David (April) Bovy; 27 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Lydia (Henry) Spratte and Rosie Tille; and a brother, Louie (Lorraine).

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.
