WATERLOO- Alice E. "Vangie" Henriksen, 70, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born November 27, 1938 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Robert Rudolph and Emma Ella (Forney) Hansen. She married Donald E. Rice on October 6, 1956 in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced. She married Dale E. Henriksen on September 6, 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska. He died December 30, 1997.

Mrs. Henriksen had worked as a Nurse's Aide in local nursing homes.

Survivors include a son, Richard (Mary Kramer) Rice of Cedar Falls; daughter, Renalda (Mark J.) Becker of Waterloo; step-son, Danny Henriksen of Boise, ID; three step-daughters, Joyce Rasmussen also of Boise, Janet Cabezud of Windsor, CA, and Debra McDaniel of San Jose, CA; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, Kyle Hansen of Cedar Falls, and John Hansen of Waverly; two sisters, Judy Hoover and Trudy (Paul) Bratt, of Cedar Falls; and a half-sister, Amelia (Darryl) Drew of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a son, Raymond Rice, and two sisters, Zoe and Rosie

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and also for one hour prior to services Saturday.
