CEDAR FALLS- Frances Jane Jensen, 87, of Western Home Communities Windgrace, Cedar Falls, died Monday, May 18 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 29, 1921, in Alta, the daughter of Almus W. and Sadie Parrott Buckingham. She married Delbert Jensen on November 28, 1941 in Storm Lake. He died June 24, 2005.

She attended Iowa State Teachers College and later co-owned and operated Jensen Greenhouse with her husband from 1946 until retirement. She had been a member of Floral Design Club and Soroptimist. Frances' last five years at Windgrace of the Western Home Communities were good ones because of her best buddy, Jenny Gray. Thanks also to Meleah Kruse and Debra Siech.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Jensen of Solon, and her good looking dog, Henry.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Marjorie Hauge and Irene Anderson; and a brother, Craig Buckingham.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to Sartori Memorial Hospital.
