JANESVILLE - Darlyne Maye Brocka, 68, of Janesville, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 in Cape Coral, FL.

She was born October 10, 1940, in Waterloo, daughter of Delmar and Ruth Maye (Phelps) Boyer. She married William F. Brocka on November 15, 1959. They had met at the Black Hawk Roller Drome, one of her passions at that time.

She was a 1959 graduate of Northern University High School, and was employed as an Administrative Assistant with Insurance agencies throughout the metro area. She was a founding member of the Waverly Ski Club, participating as a show skiier.

Survivors include her husband, Willie; sons, Blane (Mary Cummings) of Cedar Falls, and Dustin (Shannon) of Cedar Falls; daughter Wendy (Dan) Brace of Janesville; six grandchildren, Tyler, Luke and Natalie Brace, and Colin, Kaitlyn, and Alyson Brocka; her mother, Ruth Maye Hamilton of Waterloo; two sisters, Jan Guzman of Waterloo, and Geri (Gail) Aikey of Charles City; three half-brothers, Larry, Jim, and Greg Boyer; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her father and a special cousin Kathy Halverson.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Janesville United Methodist Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home (266-3525). Visitation also for one hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, FL.
