WATERLOO, IOWA — Daisy Wisher, 90, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at New AldAya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

She was born July 24, 1921, in Bassett, Iowa, the daughter of George and Lulu Rose Venz. She married Joseph Wisher on October 2, 1946, in Charles City. He died May 31, 1985.

Mrs. Wisher was employed with Salsbury Laboratories and the Oliver Corp., both in Charles City. She then was employed with Rath Packing Co., Santa Clause Industries, and McKinstry Junior High, all in Waterloo. She was a member of the former St. John’s Catholic Church.

Survived by a son, Joe (Renee) of Waverly; three daughters, Linda Wisher of Salem, Oregon, Teresa Wisher of Ridgeway and Patty Wisher of Waterloo; three grandsons, Chris, John (Jessica) and Matthew Wisher; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Randall, Noah Hauser and Gabrielle Wisher.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Wisher; six brothers, Jesse, Raymond, Vernon, Clifford, Walter and Bernald Venz; and four sisters, Pansy Larrabee, Nellie Fisher, Vera Lack and Wilma Venz.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
