Helen Immings was born August 6, 1918, in Grundy County, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Alta D. (Jones) Johnson. She died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at the Western Home Communities-Martin Center in Cedar Falls.

On October 17, 1935, she was united in marriage to Ralph L. Immings in Eldora, IA. He died April 4, 2002. She and Ralph farmed in Grundy County for many years, then owned and operated the Barn Coffee Shop Restaurant in Dike, Iowa from 1965 until 2002. They also operated an Amoco Station in the late 1970's. She was a life member of the Dike American Legion Auxiliary.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Sonja Wright of Cedar Falls and Bonnie (Robert) Troy of Plant City, FL; three grandchildren, Michael and Terry Troy, both of Tampa, FL and Shari Weidemann of Cedar Falls; and great grandchildren, Michael Weidemann of Cedar Falls and Robert Sousloff of Tampa, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Johnson and son, Ralph Michael Immings.
