Ilene E. Heinichen

Ilene was born April 17, 1927, in Conroy, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Eleanora (Stohlman) Hagen. She died Friday, February 14, 2003, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

On December 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Christian E. "Chris" Heinichen in Eldora, IA. He died May 6, 1990. She was employed in the shipping department at Hawkeye Corrugated Box in Cedar Falls, retiring in 1992. She was a member o f College Hill Lutheran Church.

Ilene is survived by two daughters, Linda (Dave) Malam of Cedar Falls and Marsha (Bill) VanSant of Denver, CO; son, Doug (Terry) Heinichen of Marengo, IA; six grandchildren, Shelley, Tara, Arik, Mike, Nora and Maggie; seven great grandchildren, Ali, Emily, Meagan, Tyler, Cheyen, Derek and Logan; four brothers, Willard and Harlan Hagen, both of Williamsburg, Gilbert Hagen of Blairstown and Robert Hagen of Newhall; and sister, Norma Von Ashen of Blairstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Merlin and Earl Hagen and grandson, Jesse.
