CEDAR FALLS- Johanna Kampman, 85, of Cedar Falls died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 2, 1924, in Pleasant ValleyTwsp. Grundy Co., Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Margaret "Maggie" (Uhlenhopp) Conraads. She was united in marriage to Elmer Kampman on July 3, 1943, at San Luis Obispo, California. He died December 3, 1996. After raising her family, prior to retirement, she was employed by the Cedar Falls Public School System Food Service at the high school.

Mrs. Kampman is survived by three daughters, Edith J. "Edie" (Ernie) Miller of Waterloo, Iowa, Judy E. Kampman of Cedar Falls, and Becky A. Kampman of Waterloo; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary DeVries of Dike, Iowa.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Fannie Adolphs and Jenny Ridder.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Richardson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and for one hour before service time on Wednesday. Memorial maybe directed to the family.
