Elvyn Ingram was born August 25, 1918, in Leon, IA, the son of Bert R. and Nina F. (Marshall) Ingram. He died Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

He graduated from Leon High School and went on to serve his Country in the United States Army during World War II.

On April 3, 1942, he was united in marriage to Ruth E. Bisbee. She died September 27, 1944. He then married Glenice L. Dawson September 15, 1946 in Fredericksburg. She died July 24, 2000. He worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing in Waterloo, then farmed in Corydon and Humeston and later Waukoma and Fredericksburg, and finally was employed at the Iowa Department of Transportation, retiring November of 1983.

Elvyn is survived by two daughters, Glenda L. Ingram of Cedar Falls and Margie K. (Frank) Schubert of Mokena, IL; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sisters, Estel L. Nofsteger of Sun City, CA and Helen V. Lee of Ft. Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives; brother, Loren R. Ingram and a sister in infancy.
