WATERLOO — Cecil Thomas Cloyd, Jr., 78, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 26.

He was born May 23, 1933, in Woodward, Okla., son of Cecil Thomas Sr. and Inita Lucile Finch Cloyd. He married Donna Joyce Gilkerson in 1953 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Cloyd served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an administrative manager in the Cincinnati-Middletown, Ohio, area for Diamond International and moved to Waterloo in 1974 to work for Mead Corp., retiring in 1984 due to his health.

Survived by a daughter, Katrina (David) Wenger of Middletown; a son, Gordon of Waterloo; three grandchildren, David (Carmen) Wenger, Angela (Chad) Sebald and Mark (Dawn) Wenger; five great-grandchildren, Keani and Kalia Wenger, Sadie Sebald, Hunter and Bradley Wenger; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Dayton Ortiz, Devyn and Lance Stewart.

Preceded in death by three sons, Kevin, Adam and Bradley; and a half brother, Pat Allen Lucas.

Memorial services: will be at a later date. Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hamilton, Ohio. Arrangements by Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Pasarin and the staff at DaVita Cedar Valley Dialysis, Penny and Rachel, Dr. Lederman and his staff and Covenant Medical Center staff.
