Margaret Roseann Arend, 84, of Jesup and Tucson, Arizona, and formerly of Waterloo died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Covenant Medical Center, of natural causes.

She was born May 15, 1913, in Bancroft, daughter of Henry L. and Rose Klein Arend. She married Carleton W. Troutner on July 3, 1937 in Cedar Rapids. They were later divorced. She then married Loren Bronson on April 4, 1956 in Claus, MN. They were later divorced.

Ms. Arend worked as a receptionist for Drs. Ruling, Bender, Barrett and Randall and also was a secretary for the Iowa Commission for the Blind for eight years. She was a clerk for Package Liquor Store and Jay's Jewelry Store, both in Tucson for many years.

Survived by a son, Robert Troutner of Cedar Falls, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Henry, Mark and Frederick Arend.
