CEDAR FALLS — Donovan F. Meehan, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, March 13, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Dumont, son of Lowell and Edna Sarah Clemens Meehan. He married Dona K. Hudson July 11, 1965. She died April 17, 1996. He married Dorothy Moore Dec. 23, 2006.

He worked for John Deere as a purchasing agent and retired in 2001.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Kristen (Chad) Remmert and Cynthia Meehan, both of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Sarah (Bryce) Richter of Cherokee; a stepson, Paul Yarns of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob, and Sydney Remmert and Zak Bussey; two stepgrandchildren, Brynn and Keira Richter; a brother, James (Julie Nelson) of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Susan (Mike) Murphy of Cocoa, Fla.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Dumont Cemetery, Dumont. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and also for an hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to Covenant Medical Center.
