WATERLOO — Ralph L. “Ted” Suer, 60, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 15, at his home.

He was born Nov. 10, 1951, in Platteville, Wis., son of Raymond and Violet Wolf Suer. He married Donna Stufflebeam Dec. 12, 1970, in Waterloo.

Mr. Suer served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam conflict. He was a welder at John Deere for 26 years, and a member of Fellowship of New Beginnings Church.

Survived by his wife; a son, Robert of Waterloo; a daughter, Rebecca (William) Iehl of Waterloo; three brothers, Roger (Jan) of Janesville, Wis., John of Waterloo, and Bernie (Lavon) of California; and a grandson.

Preceded in death by a brother, LaVerne; and a stepbrother in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fellowship of New Beginnings Wesleyan Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and also for an hour before services Monday at the church.
