LA PORTE CITY - Agnes M. Mahood, 95, of La Porte City, died Tuesday, March 13, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 18, 1917, in rural Benton County, daughter of Daniel and Mattie Hunter Brennan. She married Harvey E. Mahood in Kirksville, Mo. He died Jan. 19, 1965.

Mrs. Mahood was a VFW Auxiliary member.

Survived by a brother, Dean (Gloria) Brennan of Marshalltown; a sister, Maxine Jurgens of Kansas City, Mo.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Frances Brennan; and two sisters, Patricia Brennan and Kathryn Burrows.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in West View Cemetery, both in La Porte City. La Porte City Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Agnes enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, gardening and the outdoors. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
