Waterloo Courier - Wednesday, April 05, 1882, Waterloo, Iowa

DIED—Miss Julia Coolidge, daughter of J. T. Coolidge, of this city, died on Friday night last. Miss Coolidge had been in poor health for sometime past, but was not supposed to be dangerously ill until a few days before her death, so that the announcement of her demise was a sudden shock to her many friends.

She was born, in Watertown, New York, in January, 1858, and graduated from the high school in that place in 1877. The year following she came to Waterloo, and has resided here since. She is the fifth of the class in which she graduated who has died, four of them, all young ladies, died within the past six months, and one only about two weeks ago. The paper containing the notice of this latter death was received after she was too sick to read it.

The funeral services were held at the residence of J. T. Coolidge, on Sunday last, Rev. E. N. Barrett of the Presbyterian church officiating, and the remains were taken to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for burial.
