WATERLOO — Ruby E. Kutin, 95, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 7, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Nov. 15, 1916, in Watertown, S.D., daughter of Paul and Mildred Davison Venter. She married Laurence Walentine in 1937 in Waterloo; he died in 1954. She later married Joseph Kutin in 1963. He died in December 2008.

Mrs. Kutin graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1935. She was employed by Powers Manufacturing and Iowa Public Service Co. She and her husband were also in the butcher business.

Survived by a daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Kammerman of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Halliday and Sandi Riccardi, both of California; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Roger Walentine; a daughter, Marilu; and a sister, Ruth Venter.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
