CEDAR FALLS - Patricia "Pat" Kiernan Majerus, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, from complications of a stroke.

She was born Dec. 6, 1930, in Sheboygan, Wis., daughter of Ambrose and Bernice Schurman Kiernan. She married Tom Majerus on June 18, 1949, at St. Clement Catholic Church, Sheboygan. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Majerus graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and later worked for General Growth Corp., and subsequently became a manager at Serv Quik Cleaners. After her retirement she was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Cedar Falls Historical Society, Cedar Falls/Waterloo Community Schools, Oster Regent Theatre, Waterloo Community Playhouse and R.S.V.P.

Survived by two sons, Mike (Cheryl) Majerus of Fitchburg, Wis., and Tim (Mary) Majerus of Columbia, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Jo Majerus of Rochester, Minn., Karen (Lyle) Schmitt of Waterloo and Jackie (Steve) Majerus-Collins of West Hartford, Conn.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Gebler of Sheboygan; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Majerus of Madison, Wis., and Bill St. Louis of Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Majerus of Sheboygan Falls, Wis..

Preceded in death by two sisters, Kathyleen St. Louis and Betty Gabler.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date at St. Clement Catholic Church, Sheboygan.

Memorials may be directed to the American Red Cross, Cedar Valley Hospice or St. Stephen Church.
