WATERLOO — Larry W. Clark, 71, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Allen Hospital of complications from heart surgery.

He was born Nov. 26, 1940, in Atlantic, son of Harold and Neolene Gottsch Clark.

Larry married Janet Rosenkrans Sept. 27, 1959, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1958. Mr. Clark was a crane operator in the steel shed at John Deere, retiring in 1996. He also was a member of the UAW.

Survived by his wife; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Clark of Cedar Falls; three sons, Jeff (Sandy Eppley) of West Des Moines, Randy (Tracy) of Marion and Jason (Lee) of Winterset; eight grandchildren, Noah, Keegan, Kelsey, Kallie, Drake, Dakota, Josh and Jake; a great-grandchild, Boston; a sister, Nedra (Jim) Coyle of Waterloo; and five brothers, Rodney (Sally) Clark, Mark (Kim) Lane and Roger (Deanna) Lane, all of Waterloo, Scott (Liza) Lane of Champlin, Minn., and Frank Lane of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a son, Wade; and a grandson, Adam Clark.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, with inurnment at a later date in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. He loved the outdoors, loved his wife, and his family. He will be missed by all.
