WATERLOO, IOWA - Kevin Wall, 64, of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 24, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, in Waterloo, of cancer.
He was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Storm Lake, son of Marian and Phyllis Carrington Wall. He married Ruth Norton on Aug. 9, 1969, in Lawler, and they later divorced. He married Kathleen M. Sallee on Aug. 8, 1980, in Cedar Falls.
Mr. Wall received a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Northern Iowa. He was employed as a Juvenile Court Officer for the 1st Judicial District Juvenile Court Service for 33 years. He retired in 2007 as supervisor for the Black Hawk County office. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War; was on the board of directors of Family Service League and president of the board 1999-2000; and served on the Juvenile Court Officers Training Committee and was recognized by the Iowa Supreme Court for his service in 1992.
Survived by his wife; two daughters, Brenna (Shawn) Heggi of Redlands, Calif., and Meghan (Matthew) Stephenson of Ames; three grandchildren, Nevaeh Grace and Revae Ann Heggi and Graham Ira Stephenson; and two brothers, Ted (Judy) of Schaller and Bob of Bethel, Conn.
Preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Rachael.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Parish, Waterloo, with military rites by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49, followed by cremation. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home.
Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
