EVANSDALE - Donald E. Jordan, 83, of Tripoli, formerly of Evansdale, died Monday, Feb. 27, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Plainfield, son of Orvile and Maude Parrot Jordan. He married Mary Catherine Webber on May 13, 1950, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Jordan was employed in maintenance at Rath Packing Co. and the Bremer County Courthouse.

Survived by his wife of Tripoli; two sons, Don of Black Hawk County and Dee Jay of Tripoli; two daughters, Sue (Michael) Nash of Tripoli and Mary Jo Day of Dunkerton; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Benedict.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Orvile and Floyd "Jiggs;" a sister, Helen Wienands; and two grandsons.

Family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Service.
