WATERLOO — Geramine "Geri" Rokusek, 81, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Dickeyville, Wis., daughter of Leo J. and Meleta Simon Timmerman. She married Cletus Rokusek in Cuba City, Wis.

She graduated from Immaculate Conception in Dubuque, and was a proofreader at The Witness. Mrs. Rokusek served on many committees and was a librarian for 20 years at St. Edward Catholic School.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Ronald (Diana) of Hudson and Sheldon (Meladee) of Elk Run Heights; a daughter, Victoria Nicklay of Washburn; six grandchildren, Brady Rokusek, Mandy (Luke) Loeb, Alicia (Derek Deer) Rokusek, Emily Rokusek, Rochelle (Michael) Hargis and Noel Nicklay; and four great-grandchildren, Alston and Karson Loeb, and Max and Sam Hargis.

Preceded in death by an infant brother.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Mausoleum. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with a 7 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Edward Catholic School Library.

Geri enjoyed cross-stitching and making candles, and loved to decorate for all the holidays. Geri will be missed by all who knew her.
