N. PETER CHRISTENSEN

N. Peter Christensen, 73, of 1302 Hammond Avenue, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications following a stroke suffered last Friday.

He was born June 12, 1888, at Flauenskjold, Denmark, the son of Hans and Else Fredricksen Christensen. In 1924 he left Denmark and went to Cuba and came to the United States and Waterloo in 1943.

Mr. Christensen was a painter by occupation. He retired four years ago. He married Mrs. Christine Andersen Laursen in Waterloo on October 6, 1949.

Mr. Christensen was a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church and a former member of the Painter's Union.

Surviving are his wife; one sister, Mrs. David Christensen, 1126 Patten Avenue; Mrs. Agnes Christensen; Denmark; two brothers, Ingvard and Thorvald, both of Denmark.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters. Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after noontime Thursday.
