Eric R. Cory, age 43, of Jesup, died Monday, October 20, 2008 at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 7, 1965 at the old St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo, the son of Robert M. and Emilie R. (Jones) Cory. He graduated from Jesup High School with the Class of 1984 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Computer Management from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993.

Survivors include his mother, Emilie Cory of Jesup; a sister, Sarah (Dixon) Stuelke of Waterloo; 2 nephews and 2 nieces, Lucas, Kalen, Rachyl and Naomi Stuelke; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Cory on June 28, 1980; his father Robert on November 9, 2003 and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup with burial in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup. Friends may call after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the church. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in Waterloo is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the Jesup Presbyterian Church or the American Heart Association.
