WATERLOO - Ralph E. Creedon, 91, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Allen Hospital of cardiac arrest.

He was born July 3, 1920, in Jefferson City, Mo., son of Albert and Hazel Huntley Creedon. He married Virginia Logan on Jan. 6, 1946, in Harrison, Ark.

Mr. Creedon graduated from high school in Omaha, Ark. He was a truck driver for Warren Transportation, then Wood Products. He served for three years with the Sea Bees in the South Pacific and Guam during World War II. He was a member of Hammond Avenue Brethren Church and American Legion Post 138.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Betty (Ron) Steege of Harpers Ferry and Roberta (Jack) Meyers of La Porte City; a son, Joe of St. Paul, Minn.; six grandchildren, Mindy (Pat) Giesler, Andrew (Amanda) Steege, Kerrie (Stephen) Michael, Roy (Marisa) Meyers, Joanna (Jacob) Grote and William Creedon; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery, with flag presentation by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home.
