WATERLOO - Alberta L. Norman, 87, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, died there Sunday, Feb. 19.

She was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Arlington, daughter of Richard and Zelda Lickiss Rowell. She married Floyd Squires in 1942, and they later divorced. She married Ronald Norman in 1965, and they later divorced.

Ms. Norman graduated from Arlington High School. She was employed with Sheldahl Manufacturing in Minnesota until retiring and moving to Waterloo.

Survived by a son, Ronald Squires of Oelwein; two daughters, Linda and Jeanette (Jim), both of Las Vegas; two granddaughters, Marissia and Sara; a brother, Robert J. (Kay) Rowell of Waterloo; two sisters, Avice L. Potter of Evansdale and Sharon K. Burke of Waterloo; two sisters-in-law, Berniece Bidne of Cedar Falls and Juanita Rowell of La Porte City; many nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend, Michael Bakos of Pennsylvania.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Dennis; three brothers, Richard, Marlin and Merwin; and two brothers-in-law, Charlie Burke and George Potter.

Private family Services will be held, with inurnment in Taylorville Cemetery, Arlington. There will be no visitation. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway assisted the family.
