WATERLOO - Winona M. "Winnie" Rosenkrans, 96, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Feb. 18, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 4, 1915, in Waterloo, daughter of George H. Sr. and Leota Debe DeVore. She married Frank P. Rosenkrans Sr. on Dec. 10, 1936, in Waterloo. He died in July 1982.

Mrs. Rosenkrans graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1934. She was a secretary at Allen Hospital and later a ward secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a member and past president of the Good Sam Camping Club.

Survived by: two sons, Gary (Nadine) of Waterloo and Ken (Francene) of Pleasanton, Calif.; a daughter, Janet (Larry) Clark of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Judy Rosenkrans of Biloxi, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren

Preceded in death by two grandchildren, Wade Clark and Kristi Crouch; and a great-grandson, Adam Clark.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, where visitation begins at 1 p.m., with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Memorials: may be directed to Care Initiatives Hospice or Ravenwood Nursing and Health Center.

Winnie enjoyed crafts, sewing, baking and canning. She loved flower gardening and growing plants.
