HUDON MAN'S
DEATH RULED
ACCIDENTAL

HUDSON - The death of a 38-year-old Hudson man has been ruled accidental by carbon monoxide poisoning, bu Dr. Eugene Smith of Waterloo, deputy Black Hawk County medical examiner.

The victim was Edwin Jespersen.

Dr. Smith said Jespersen apparently was overcom while working on his car in the garage at his home Saturday night. The large door was closed but the small door had been left open for ventilation, the deputy examiner said.

When Jespersen was found early Sunday morning the car's switch was still on but the car was out of gas and the motor was cold.

The Jespersens came to Hudson last summer from Waterloo, where he had been employed at the John Deere Tractor Works.

Jespersen was born October 28, 1925, at Elk Horn, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Knud Jespersen.

Surviving besides his widow, Virginia, are three sons" Tandall, Michael and Paul, at home; his parents, at Elk Horn; five sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo, Rev. H. Conrath, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church at Hudson, officiating. The body will be taken to a funeral home at Kimballton for further services and burial.
