Wray L. Yarger, 81, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, October 14, 2004 at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center. He was born October 20, 1922 at Massena, Iowa the son of Neal & Belva (Hawks) Yarger.

He married Helen Way September 7, 1940 at Grant City, Missouri. Wray served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a Sales Engineer for Kies Electric in Waterloo for 29 years retiring in 1985. Wray taught for the Junior Engineering Society at Cedar Falls High School, was a life member of the Elks Club, and was also a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Yarger, of Cedar Falls; four daughers, Carolyn Jones of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Janet (Larry) Fish of Minden Nevada; Diane (Brian) Foster of Auburn, California; Julie Manning (Bob Manning), both of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Andrea & Teresa Jones and Andrew & Lexa Mannining; and two brothers, Glen Yarger of Boone, Iowa and John Yarger of Massena, Iowa.

Wray was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mildred Follman.

Memorial services were 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2004 at the Western Home Chapel with inurnment at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the Western Home Communities.
