GILBERTVILLE - Douglas A. "Doug" Thomas, 44, of Gilbertville, died at home of natural causes Tuesday, Feb. 14.

He was born Aug. 10, 1967, in Waterloo, son of Robert D. and Kathryn A. Wirtz Thomas.

He was a cook at Buckets in Jesup.

Survived by two brothers, Jeff and Roger (Salina Youngton), both of Gilbertville; two sisters, Amy Thomas of Cedar Falls and Melissa (Shawn) Thomas-McKinley of Traer; a nephew, Devin McKinley; and a niece, Shelby McKinley.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, Chad.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with inurnment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Eagle Center, at a later date. Public visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
