Glenn Haven
Here Tuesday

Glenn Haven, former La Porte City business man and long time resident of this city, died at his home Tuesday morning at 4:10

Death summons came at the age of 63 years after a year's illness.

The body is at the Johannson Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. D. R. Corrick, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.

Glenn Lyle Haven was born at Bristow, Iowa, August 12, 1890 to the late Emmet and Sarah Haven. He came to la Porte City with his parents in 1900 and resided here the rest of his life.

On October 15, 1913 he was united in marriage to Vera Dolph of La Porte City at Marion.

As a young man he assisted his father in the Haven Department Store owned and operated the Haven Grocery store for eight years. For 10½ years preceding his illness he was employed at the Rath Packing Co. in Waterloo.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and of Lotus Lodge No. 705 I.O.O.F.

Surviving are his wife; two brothers, Percy Haven of La Porte City and Carlton Haven of Rockwell City; two sisters, Mrs. H. B. Scott of Waterloo and Mrs. Frank Gutknecht of Hudson and nephews and nieces.

One brother, Merville Haven, preceded him in death.
