Rita K. Sackett, 60, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. She was born May 16, 1943 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas A. and Margaret W. (Warrick) Morris.

She was married to Morris Sackett on August 31, 1963 in Waterloo.

Rita graduated from Orange High School in 1961. She worked at J.C. Penneys, Morris Printing Co. and most recently at Cedar River Printing. Rita was a traditional mom and homemaker who loved being a grandmother. She kept her home, cared for her family, and was involved in their lives. She loved the outdoors, caring for her roses, her garden, mowing the lawn, and their home.

Survived by her husband, Morris; daughter, Kami Bell and her husband, Thomas of Waterloo; daughter, Keri Ortman and her husband, Jonathan of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Kaitlan Sackett, Coy Bell, Holly and Ky Ortman; mother, Margaret Morris and brother, Jerry L. Morris.

Rita is preceded in death by her father and infant brother, Thomas Robert Morris.
