Donald Ruffcorn was born August 25, 1920 in Independence, Iowa the son of Ray W. and Bessie M. (Billick) Ruffcorn. He died on Wednesday, December 2, 1998 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin at the age of 78 years.

He married Alyce J. Skaarup on August 15, 1944. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was employed as a toolmaker with John Deere & Co. for 26 years. He was a member of the American Legion and was a charter member of the AMVETS.

Donald is survived by his wife Alyce of DeSoto, Wisconsin,

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Claude Ruffcorn.

Memorial services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 1998 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to DeSoto Lutheran Church, DeSoto, Wisconsin 54624.
